A Childhood Filled with Dreams
Shridevi was a brilliant student from the very beginning. With sharp intellect and an unwavering drive, her dream was to become a Chartered Accountant — not for the title, but to lift her family out of hardship. She worked tirelessly, clearing exams one by one and reaching the CA Final stage — a milestone that few achieve.
But life had other plans.
The Turning Point
Just when she was on the brink of achieving her dream, her father’s health deteriorated. Medical expenses piled up, and the family's financial condition took a severe hit. In the midst of emotional and financial turmoil, she made a heart-wrenching decision: to step back from her CA journey and agree to a marriage arranged by her family — putting her ambitions on pause for the sake of love and responsibility.
Soon after marriage, another storm hit.
Her husband, VinaykumarCholli, left his job to pursue business. At the same time, Shridevi discovered she was pregnant. With no income, no savings, and no safety net, the young couple found themselves at rock bottom — struggling to even afford basic meals.
But they didn’t give up. They chose faith over fear.
A Needle, a Thread, and a Dream
Shridevi's mother was a tailor who used to do simple sareekuchu work at home. Shridevi herself had never stitched a thing in her life. She was always immersed in books. But desperate times demanded courage. She began to learn tailoring — stitch by stitch, mistake by mistake.
Vinaykumar, meanwhile, started a YouTube channel to earn a little money. In 2016, they noticed there was no Kannada content teaching kuchu or tailoring. That gap became their golden opportunity. Shridevi, with her calm and clear teaching style, began uploading videos.
And slowly, their lives began to change.
Rising From Ashes
