From CSO to Consultant: Redefining Safety for Companies and Homes.
By Madhav Majhi | Risk & Physical Security Consultant .

In today’s unpredictable world, safety is not a luxury — it’s a necessity. Whether it’s your workplace, residential building, or private home, a smart security plan can protect lives, property, and peace of mind. Even the current government has emphasized this by conducting a nationwide mock drill across India — reminding us all that preparedness and prevention are now a national priority.
After 17+ years in the field of corporate and residential security, I’ve transitioned from a full-time role as a Chief Security Officer to building something bigger — a mission-driven, independent Risk & Security Consultancy that serves both businesses and homeowners.
A Journey from the Ground to the Top
I began my career in hands-on operations — managing teams, conducting risk checks, handling emergencies. With time, I took on leadership roles and ultimately became the Chief Security Officer (CSO) at one of Mumbai’s largest corporate campuses.
But as I worked with growing organizations, I saw a gap. Most companies and residential societies had systems in place — but very few had strategy, training, or expert guidance behind those systems.
That’s what inspired me to take this step — to become a security partner who brings both knowledge and practicality to the table.
Homeowners Need Smart Security Too
Security isn’t just for large corporates. Today, private homes and gated communities are equally vulnerable — from theft and intrusion to fire risks and staff-related incidents.
Unfortunately, many rely on generic guards or basic camera setups — with no emergency protocols, no training, and no checks in place.
I help homeowners and resident associations:
- Build customized security plans
- Evaluate existing systems and vendors
- Train staff and guards
- Create emergency response protocols
Because your family’s safety deserves more than just a few cameras and a guard at the gate.
For Corporates: Beyond the Title of CSO
Many organizations already have a CSO, admin manager, or facility head. But do they have someone who:
- Understands daily ground-level challenges?
- Can connect strategy with execution?
- Prepares the team for real emergencies?
- Audits and updates outdated SOPs?
With years of experience managing end-to-end security in real-world environments, I now support corporates through:
- Risk audits
- Compliance reviews
- Team training
- SOP and crisis management updates
- Post-incident analysis and reporting
