SWAN (Skilled Workforce Advancing Nation) Livelihood

SWAN Livelihood was initially established to instil a sense of optimism in young adults aged 18 to 30 years old who came from economically disadvantaged segments of society. Subsequently, the organisation expanded its operations to include online training workshops designed to better prepare young adults and working professionals for the increasingly competitive professional environment that existed during the Covid crisis. It is a start-up that has its headquarters in Delhi and helps young people improve their employability in order to increase their chances of landing stable jobs. The goal is to place successful applicants in jobs that are a good fit for them and to bridge the gap between the education that was obtained and the expectations of the business. As suggested by the organization's name, SWAN (which translates to "Sacred Bird" in Hindi and has the scientific name Cygnus), the organization's goal is to spread knowledge and is therefore associated with Goddess Saraswati, the supreme educational deity. In order to bridge the gap between the needs of the industry and the goals that the younger generation has set for themselves, the promoters have pooled their knowledge and experience. The overarching goal of this enterprise is to alleviate a source of discomfort for young people who come from specific groups within society and to educate these individuals so that they can have fruitful and amicable working relationships with their prospective employers. She had a profound awareness of the challenges faced by young people who come from economically disadvantaged parts of society, as well as by the employers of these young people, which drove her to launch this firm.

SWAN Livelihood is a programme that provides creative training and counselling for young people with the goal of enhancing the overall quality of the youth labour force. The training programme is developed after extensive work on the field and in-depth familiarity with the processes of the organisations that operate in the social sector. This mission's goals are to put a smile on the face of a significant number of young people and cultivate a friendly environment in the workplace, leading to delighted employers. In our efforts to attain the goals, we will do our best to put in work that is both dedicated and completely committed to the cause.

The SWAN Livelihood Method in Action

The student inquiry, interactive conversations, industrial exposure, and cognitive empathy are what drive the classroom learning module at SWAN. These training sessions are designed to develop the youth's overall awareness toward the importance of working together as a team, as well as their personal grooming and the expansion of their skill sets.
preserving in mind the overarching health and happiness of the target groups throughout their lives. In addition to the post-placement assistance that would connect them with upcoming possibilities in order for them to be successful in their professional lives, SWAN would provide continuing mentor – mentee support to the youngsters who were acquiring employment.

SWAN Livelihood Vision

Helping young adults and encouraging equitable and sustainable economic growth are two of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the period between now and 2030. The SDGs advocate for technical and vocational education training (TVET) and decent work opportunities. To achieve the nation's developmental objectives, it would be extremely advantageous to have a sizable youth population that is highly educated and talented. This challenge has been accepted by SWAN, which is working to improve the employability of young people in the NCR of Delhi. Through the enhancement of employees' skill sets, it is hoped that a more consistent workforce will be produced, which will ultimately result in a greater rate of employee satisfaction.

This year, SWAN Livelihood has further expanded its operations in order to provide support for the rural craftsmen of India, and they are looking forward to fostering the talents of these individuals in the years to come.
