From Bharat to Tashkent – 10,000 km on the Wheels of Unity

What happens when passion meets purpose, and adventure meets awareness? You get the ‘Trans-Asia Trail 2025 – Bharat to Tashkent,’ a powerful 10,000 km international motorcycle expedition across six countries, promoting unity, road safety, and emergency preparedness.

I’m Prasad Chaulkar, a biker, social worker, sportsman — and most importantly, a dreamer. Along with my fellow rider, I journeyed across India, Nepal, China, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan — navigating the ancient Silk Route, enduring sub-zero mountains, scorching deserts, and border complexities, all for a cause that goes beyond miles.

The expedition was powered not just by fuel, but by purpose:

Promoting Road Safety Awareness across international borders

Spreading the message of Emergency Medical Preparedness

Representing India on the global stage, beyond just tourism

At Tashkent, I paid tribute to former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri, where history had once paused in silence. This emotional moment, shared with Dr. Khikmat Anvarov, an emergency medicine expert from Uzbekistan, marked the official closure of the expedition.

Throughout this journey, I was touched by the warm hospitality extended to me across all nations. From tea offered by strangers to heartfelt conversations at border towns, I found a common thread of humanity. I engaged in rich cultural exchanges, interacted with locals, and learned from their stories, lifestyles, and traditions — making this not just a ride, but a deep human experience.

In China, I sang with senior citizens at a public square — they didn’t understand the lyrics, but they understood the emotion. Music, I realized again, has no borders. Every interaction, every shared smile, became a part of this unforgettable story.

This journey was made possible by the constant mentorship and support of Global Emergency Medicine Expert Dr. Sagar Galwankar (USA), and institutional support from:

WHOCCET – AIIMS New Delhi

WACEM (World Academic Congress of Emergency Medicine)

 INDUSEM (Indo-US EM Collaboration)

ACEE (Academic College of Emergency Experts)

EMA (Emergency Medicine Association)

And Ultimate Holidays for route coordinationThe road was risky, the terrain rough, but I returned safely — not just with stories, but with a mission fulfilled. I am now back in India, but the journey lives on through those inspired by it.

I plan to share this experience further at WACEM 2025 in Mangaluru, and through multiple platforms, to ensure this isn’t just an expedition, but a movement.

???? Thank you to my family, friends, supporters, and everyone who followed the journey. Your faith kept my wheels rolling.
