Former cricketer Yuvraj Singh-backed nutrition healthcare startup Wellversed Health has acquired MS Dhoni-backed fitness coaching company Sportfit for an undisclosed amount.
As part of the acquisition, Wellversed will incorporate the Ghaziabad-based startup’s proprietary coaching methodology and technology for diet and fitness coaching into its platform, a statement said.
Additionally, Wellversed said it looks to scale Sportfit’s model of one-on-one physical activity sessions across India.
Post deal, Aaris Kalra, who founded Sportfit in 2019, will be the sales lead at Wellversed, it said.
Wellversed, founded in 2018 by Aanan Khurma, said that it has already enabled over 12,000 health transformations on its platform and plans to expand its portfolio to athletes as well. The startup looks to enable over 1 lakh paid transformations by the end of 2021.
Shiprocket raises $7.5 million: Report
Delhi-based logistics tech startup Shiprocket has reportedly raised $7.5 million in an extended Series C funding round from returning investor Tribe Capital and new investor California-based venture capital firm March Capital.
The company, a tech-enabled logistics aggregation platform for the ecommerce sector, was founded in 2017 by Gautam Kapoor, Vishesh Khurana and Saahil Goel.
It has raised about $33.5 million till date. Tribe Capital in May led a $13 million round in the Delhi-based startup in May 2020.
Shiprocket will allot 81,395 C3 CCPS at an issue price of Rs 6,802.93 per share, an Inc42 report said, citing regulatory filings. While Tribe Capital is expected to pick up shares worth Rs 25.84 crore, March Capital will invest Rs 29.53 in the company, it said.
