The NIESBUD, the IIE, and the ISB have collaborated to provide entrepreneurial training to young people in India.
This agreement allows ISB academics and industry experts to establish two programmes. Business Foundations & Entrepreneurial Skills and Behavioural Skills Programme. NIESBUD and IIE will be the key drivers of enrolment of adolescents, job seekers, and entrepreneurs on the ISB Learning Management System (LMS). Participants can earn a combined certification after passing both courses.
On September 1, 2022, the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) and the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), both of which fall under the aegis of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), each signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian School of Business (ISB), which is a top-ranked global business school, in order to provide world-class management education through entrepreneurial programmes that are geared toward aspiring entrepreneurs
This agreement will enable the development and implementation of two programmes by ISB academics and industry specialists. These programmes are titled Business Foundations & Entrepreneurial Skills and Behavioural Skills Programme respectively. In addition, NIESBUD and IIE will be the primary drivers of enrollment of adolescents, job seekers, and entrepreneurs on the ISB Learning Management System (LMS), across both of these training programmes. After participants have completed both courses with a passing grade, they will be eligible to get a combined certification.
Shri Rajesh Aggarwal, Secretary of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, praised the partnership and stated that the various stakeholders are working toward the creation of abundant opportunities for the youth and entrepreneurs, which will contribute to the development of the nation. To keep up with the rapid pace at which skills are growing in today's world, there is an immediate and critical need to evolve and adapt to these changes by providing kids with training in relevant skills. He also stated that the relationship is in keeping with the overarching aim of establishing a holistic environment to foster entrepreneurship and skill development and making India the Skill Capital of the World. He said this will be accomplished by making India the Skill Capital of the World.
The Business Foundations & Entrepreneurial Skills programme will begin with an introduction to both microeconomics and macroeconomics. Additionally, the programme will cover the fundamental aspects of business, including marketing management, operations management, competitive strategy, negotiation analysis, and the basics of finance. In addition, this programme helps students develop their entrepreneurial abilities by providing them with an entrepreneurial orientation, educating them on the stages of start-up creation, and guiding them in the process of recognising market needs, issues, and opportunities.
The objective of the Behavioural Skills Programme is to provide young people with a variety of skills and methods that will improve both their effectiveness in their personal lives and in the job. Building self-awareness, inculcating a growth mindset, effective verbal and non-verbal communications, presentation and public speaking, the art of networking, building a personal brand, the art of storytelling, introduction to technology, excelling in job interviews, and negotiation analysis are some of the skills that will be covered in this course.
